The benefits of membership would not exist without the financial commitment of every member.
Undergraduate Fees
- Pledge Fee - $90: Assessed to the UTC chapter by the Fraternity Headquarters for each individual pledged into Sigma Chi. Pays for education materials and pledge pin.
- Pledge Dues - $50: Monthly dues to the UTC chapter for events/programs/insurance
- Initiation Fee - $175: Assessed to the UTC chapter by the Fraternity Headquarters for each individual initiated into Sigma Chi. Pays for brother’s badge and fraternity programs/events.
- Membership Fee - $200: payable in $100 increments in the two semesters after Initiation. Assists with international fraternity leadership programs and workshops and pays for brother’s undergraduate subscription to The Magazine of Sigma Chi.
- Local Brother Dues - $80: Monthly dues to the UTC chapter for house maintenance/events/programs/insurance. Could increase with undergraduate chapter vote
- House Rent - $380: Monthly rent to live in one of the 10 rooms. Includes all utilities.
Life Loyal Membership
Life Loyal Sigs are a brotherhood of alumni, young and old, who continue to reap the benefits of Sigma Chi membership long after their college years. They include thousands of successful men in many professions, with such notables as David Letterman, Ball State 1969, Bill Marriott, Utah 1954, and Mike Ditka, Pittsburgh 1961. Benefits include the Life Loyal Sig lapel pin, wallet card, exclusive certificate and a lifetime subscription to The Magazine of Sigma Chi.
- Regular Price of Life Loyal Membership- $500. There is an optional
- installment plan of $175 per year for three years for regularly priced members.
- Undergraduates / Young Alumni - $395. Price for undergraduates or young alumni brothers who have been out of school less than one year
- Price for Semi-Century Sigs - $150. Semi-Century Sigs who have achieved 50 years of membership in Sigma Chi.
Alumni Program of the International Fraternity
This membership allows members to stay connected to Sigma Chi on an annual basis. If a member has not become a Life Loyal Sig by the time he graduates, he will receive a one-year complimentary membership in the Alumni Program. Pricing for the Alumni Program is:
- Three years - $59 - Two years - $42 - One year - $25
Chattanooga Alumni Chapter Dues
This financial commitment helps the local alumni to conduct social gatherings as well as support the undergraduate chapter.
- Annual Voluntary Dues - $35
